To prevent and/or delay the onset of alcohol and other drug use among youth in South County in a long term and sustainable manner and to empower the community by advancing community generated ideas.
SBCC challenges you to imagine a community where alcohol and other drug use is not inevitable.
We work to reduce youth substance use by affecting environmental factors that lead youth to use alcohol and other drugs.
Individuals do not engage in the use of alcohol and other drugs solely on the basis of personal characteristics, but rather as a result of a complex set of factors in their environment.

SBCC members live, work or volunteer in South Berkshire County. SBCC members keep up to date with community wide initiatives; they receive SBCC emails and newsletters. Members attend community meetings and events, assist in implementing community projects and often take the lead on specific projects.
